Fitness and Sports Performance Specialist
HealthWorks Rehab and Fitness Morgantown, WV
Compensation $14- $15/hr. based on experience
HealthWorks Rehab and Fitness in Morgantown West Virginia is seeking a PART TIME Fitness and Sports Performance Specialist. The Fitness & Sports Performance Specialist is responsible for designing and implementing exercise programs for clients and patients. You will be responsible for providing instruction of specific exercise techniques, methods and training curriculum. This position consults with therapists and physicians in assisting with the full recovery of participants who need rehabilitative therapy. Additional expectations will include marketing and networking within the assigned territory to facilitate the growth and development of our Wellness & Sports Medicine program services. A degree in Exercise Science or Exercise Physiology is HIGHLY preferred. We are open weekdays as early as 630AM until 7PM.
Qualifications:
- Three years Personal Training, Strength and Conditioning or Fitness experience.
- Clinical experience (from prior employment or via observation hours).
- Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology or Human Health & Services.
- Certified Personal Trainer from America College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), or National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), or American Council on Exercise (ACE), or equivalent.
- Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist preferred.
- CPR and AED Certification.

Responsibilities
- Conducts wellness and fitness consultations, assessments and screening.
- Assists, develops, instructs and monitors clients 1:1 through their individualized programs to ensure client satisfaction, safety and enhancement of rehabilitative goals and overall health and fitness goals.
- Work closely with our Sports Medicine groups to provide a variety of different wellness-based services, develop suitable program content to boost injury prevention awareness and peak athletic performance (wellness seminars, sports events/tournament coverage, team events, marketing events and demonstrations of sports medicine assessments, etc.).
- Provides information about programs and events for community outreach of health, fitness and wellness (as requested).
