What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Wellness Coordinator position at Healthy Community Alliance?
Exciting opportunity to join a team of committed professionals working to improve perinatal and infant health outcomes in Chautauqua County!
The Community Wellness Coordinator will work in collaboration with all Healthy Community Alliance staff, colleagues, and partnering organizations to coordinate and carry out outreach and educational activities that support maternal/infant health programming and address access to health and social care services for rural communities. It will support existing programs and opportunities for new services to reach more rural community members. This position provide outreach and education in the northern and southern part of county to promote public health information with the community at large, stakeholders and other partners regarding basic prenatal, preconception and interconception health information. Role includes preparing press releases, blogs, and other materials as assigned for distribution to the service area and making sure outreach strategies are culturally responsive and meet the community member needs.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s degree in health and human services, communications, early childhood, or related field; or equivalent years of training and experience
· Previous experience in health and human services, communications, or early childhood
· Background in public health, health planning, nutrition, exercise science, social welfare, public policy, community planning or related field desired
Schedule: Potential ability to work some remote hours; Standard work week: Monday – Thursday -Friday but may have non-traditional hours as needed for outreach events. 20 hours/week.
Reliable Transportation required for travel throughout entire county.
