Key Responsibilities (What You'll Do)
In accordance with applicable law, Hearst is required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role if hired in New York City. The reasonable estimate, if hired in New York City, is $60,000 - $65,000. Please note this information is specific to those hired in New York City. If this role is open to candidates outside of New York City, the salary range would be aligned to that specific location. A final decision on the successful candidate’s starting salary will be based on a number of permissible, non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to skills and experience, training, certifications, and education. Key Responsibilities (What You'll Do)
- Manage the onboarding process for all new joiners, including Oracle setup, and new hire and manager communications.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new joiners, employees transferring internally, managers, and HR stakeholders across various Hearst businesses.
- Ensure completion of all required new joiner documentation and training.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with workplace posting and notification requirements for new joiners.
- Facilitate weekly New Joiner Orientation sessions and serve as a primary point of contact, helping to connect new joiners with the right resources.
- Ensure offboarding employees have access to the resources needed to seamlessly leave Hearst.
- Support and deliver enhancements to the on- and offboarding processes in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop and manage templates, workplans, and communication materials to support the Corporate Human Resources team.
- Proactively escalate issues to the Corporate Human Resources team.
- Communicate process updates across business units as needed.
- Coordinate with functional partners and escalate challenges as appropriate.
- Track and maintain employee surveys such as onboarding, hiring manager, and exit surveys.
- Manage queue and data-entry for contingent workers in Oracle.
- Liaise with HR and People Systems teams to troubleshoot and resolve data-entry issues.
- Provide administrative support for HR programs and partner with Corporate Human Resources team members on projects and initiatives as needed to support overall HR operations.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

- Experience making presentations (e.g., leading orientation sessions).
- Experience in HR, onboarding, or employee experience roles.

- Experience with HRIS systems (preferably Oracle) and data-entry processes.
