General Summary of Duties: Responsible for personnel management and oversight of front office operations. Responsible for the enforcement of clinic policies and procedures. Responsible for human resource issues, including payroll, pension plans, and employee benefit plans. Responsible for filing and tracking insurance claims and performing collections activities. Responsible for managing the daily operations of the front office.
Supervisor: Practice Manager
Supervisory Responsibilities: Front Office Personnel, including Receptionists, Patient Account Representatives, and Incoming Referral Specialist.
Major Responsibilities/Tasks:
Oversees daily front office operations. Identifies and resolves operational problems.
Reviews patient satisfaction scores.
Supervises assigned personnel. Reconciles employee time sheets and maintains leave records. Performs yearly performance reviews and facilitates employee improvement plans.
Creates and maintains front office coverage schedule.
Assists with hiring and training of assigned staff.
Reconciles front office daily batches and prepares bank deposits.
Maintains and updates provider schedules in the EHR system.
Reviews and updates practice compliance policies and documentation. Assists in maintaining employee training records.
Periodically reviews front office policies and procedures and assesses any needs for changes or improvements.
Assist in company marketing efforts both internally and externally.
Performs other related duties as directed or required.
Maintains patient confidentiality.
Provides coverage to front office as needed.
EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of three?five years medical office management, including billing and collections experience.

Equipment Operated: Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.
Work Environment: Work requires hand dexterity for office machine operation, stooping and bending to files and supplies, mobility to complete errands, or sitting for extended periods of time. Occasionally lifting files or paper weighing up to 20 pounds. Occasionally work environment may be very stressful.
Mental/Physical Requirements: Normal office environment. May view computer screens for long periods of time. Occasional evening or weekend work.
