What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laser and Turret Operator position at Hearth & Home Technologies?
- Located in: Lake City, MN
- Starting at: $19.50 per hour
- Shift Differential: $2.00 per hour
- Shift Details: 5:00 PM - 3:30 AM (Core Hours)
- Monday - Thursday
- OT as needed
- Full Time / Direct Hire

- Operating fiber optic lasers to cut thin-gauge sheet metal
- Shake-out & staging of parts
- Physically shakes or picks parts out of sheet metal skeleton
- Utilizing a forklift to:
- Load material & off-load cut parts
- Empty scrap dumpsters into large take-a-way hopper
- Troubleshooting machine alarms
- May use fork truck to load materials.
- Partner with internal customers to coordinate parts delivery and production timeline to meet or exceed external customer expectations.
- Complete finished product within the parameters outlined in blueprints, mini-bills, and/or schedule.
- Works with a high level of self-direction. Rotates cell assignments according to job rotation schedule.
- This position has a direct impact on the quality of product produced.
- Duties may involve a higher cost impact to the organization such as higher scrap exposure or higher probability of quality errors.
- May be required to train and direct others as needed.
- Ability to troubleshoot.
- Basic computer skills- Microsoft Outlook
- 1 years' experience in a manufacturing position preferred
- Previous experience with operating a variety of manufacturing machines preferred
- Previous forklift operating experience preferred
