This is a paid internship that is part of Heaven Hill's Summer Internship Program (May-August). The role is an office / hybrid position and will work out of our Bardstown, KY location.

As part of the Heaven Hill Summer Internship Program, you will directly support the organization's strategic goals through project work and business-critical assignments. What the Role Is

To enhance the efficiency and accuracy of our S&OP process, we are seeking an intern to join our Demand Planning team. This position will support data gathering, analysis, and coordination across departments, driving more precise demand forecasting and production planning. The intern will also focus on identifying process bottlenecks, gathering insights for future improvements, and recommending actionable changes to streamline operations.

How You Will Spend Your Time?

• Data Collection and Analysis : Gather and analyze data on sales, inventory levels, and production schedules to create accurate, timely reports for the S&OP team.
• Demand Forecasting Support : Collaborate with the sales and marketing departments to incorporate promotional and seasonal information, resulting in a more accurate and dynamic forecasting model.
• Interview Stakeholders : Conduct interviews with stakeholders across departments to understand areas for improvement in the S&OP process.
• Process Documentation : Map & maintain detailed records of the S&OP process.
• KPI Dashboard Creation - Design and develop dashboard displaying real-time forecast accuracy metrics, inventory levels
• Develop and deliver a presentation to Executive Leadership Team at the end of your internship experience

Who You Are...

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field, such as Supply Chain Management, Data Science, Business Analytics, Operations Research, Economics, Statistics, or a related discipline.

Strong skills in data analysis and interpretation, with experience in tools like Excel, Python, or R for statistical analysis.

Experience in handling and interpreting large datasets and the ability to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement.

Familiarity with forecasting methods (e.g., time-series analysis, regression analysis, machine learning models) and a demonstrated ability to apply them to business scenarios.

Experience creating dashboards and visualizations with tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms to present data insights effectively.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively conveying data insights and technical concepts to a non-technical audience.

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including sales, operations, and finance, to gather insights and ensure alignment on project goals.

Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.

Willingness to learn new tools, techniques, and industry-specific requirements.
