Job Description
The Senior Fundraiser, (i.e. Director of Development) is responsible for the planning, implementation and execution of the organization’s fundraising program to provide for the short- and long-term contribution revenue of the organization. The position is primarily responsible for managing and expanding the organizations major donor portfolio (gifts $5,000 and above); researching, identifying and submitting corporate gifts of $25,000 or greater; coordinating and managing donor fundraising events; and building and cultivating relationships with individuals, business and corporations. The Director of Development also works closely with the Development Manager, Executive Director, and the Board of Directors to support annual fundraising programs and branding efforts to strengthen the reach and impact of Heaven on Earth Society for Animals’ mission and programs.
The ideal candidate for this position is well-organized, has a passion for animals, a positive disposition and enjoys working with people. Candidates should have a minimum three-(3) years of event planning experience, with five-(5) years or more experience with donor cultivation and solicitation of gifts $5,000 and above. One to three years of capital campaign and grant-writing experience is preferred but not required.
