Furniture Delivery Technician

Hefner Furniture & Appliance is hiring a responsible Delivery Team member to delivery home furnishings promptly to our customers. You must have a clean driving record with the ability to get a Class E license. Applicants must able to pass a Department of Transportation physical and drug screen, lift over 50 pounds and stand for 60% of the work day.

This is a full-time position that will have overtime hours with a goal of continued, long-term employment. Saturdays and holidays are required, (closed Fourth of July, Thanksgiving and Christmas). Starting pay is $13.50 an hour with bonuses and safety incentives. After 60 days of employment, an evaluation will be conducted for a raise, after which evaluations will be conducted annually. Health insurance and supplemental insurances are offered. Paid time off is accrued after 60 days of employment. Please apply in person. Responsibilities

• Deliver a wide variety of home furnishings to different addresses and through different routes
• Set up or place home goods as requested by customer
• Follow routes and time schedule
• Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate a delivery vehicle
• Collect payments
• Complete driver reports
• Follow DOT regulations and safety standards
• Conduct quality inspections prior to loading
• Uncrate and assemble home goods

Skills

• Valid professional driver’s license, Class E preferred
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Good driving record with no traffic violations
• High school degree
• Good customer service
