Welder / Fabricator

JOB TITLE: Welder/Fabricator POSITION TYPE: Non-Exempt

REPORTS TO: Technical Manager DEPT: Maintenance

Job Summary

The main task of the Welder/Fabricator is to assemble and weld racks according to specifications for production Maintain production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment. Welder/Fabricator is to follow the Maintenance plan (preventive & regular maintenance)

Tasks

• Welding of racks/cubes according to specifications Assembling smaller pieces e.g. rivets for racks
• Cut and weld metal to repair broken metal machinery and assemble new equipment.
• Perform preventive and regular maintenance according to check list/maintenance plan.
• Establish monitor preventive maintenance procedures for onsite.
• Build small tools to support production.
• Assist the Maintenance manager in the coordination of purchasing tools, parts and supplies to assure the best quality and price available, and maintain an up-to-date inventory.
• Follow all safety standards as outlined in company policy and OSHA regulations.
• Keep the Maintenance room organized and tidy Maintain accurate list of inventory
  
  

Personal competencies, authority and powers of attorney under commercial law

• Able to weld steel and high-grade steel Welding abilities of PP piping
• Welding abilities of titan is a plus Electrical experience preferred
• Maintain a positive attitude which supports team performance and productivity.
