What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cook position at HEIRLOOM MARKET?
Heirloom Market in Wethersfield, CT is looking to hire full-time line cooks. The ideal candidate is motivated, reliable, enjoys good food, is able to communicate with their coworkers, and is curious to learn.. We serve breakfast and lunch 6 days a week, and dinner Thursday-Saturday. These menus include sandwiches, salads, soups, and small plates, all of which is prepared in-house using local and regional farms to source most ingredients. We have a close knit group of cooks, and are looking to expand it with the right person! Stop in and see us, and be proud of the food you serve!
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Set up/Break down workstations
- Cook and plate all dishes to standard
- Follow health and safety guidelines
- Prepare ingredients for use during shift
- Maintaining a clean and fully stocked station
Qualifications:
- Proven working experience as a cook
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to focus on the tasks at hand
- Ability to listen and communicate effectively
