What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Generalist position at Helen Woodward Animal Center?

Temporary Human Resources Generalist

Full-time, 40 hours per week, on-site

Pay range : $33-$35 / hour

The Temporary Human Resources Generalist will support all HR-related areas for the Center and its nearly 200 employees. As such, some of your duties include :

Assist with all aspects of human resources, including :

Oversee all aspects of high volume Payroll

Assist with monthly credit card expenses

Department schedule maintenance

Assist with recruitment efforts

Benefits administration

Employee recognition and morale maintenance

Responsible for maintaining the HR database / employee files and ensuring accurate, timely updates are made

Responsible for monthly reporting, including EDD, and HR Status Reports

Responsible for monthly All-Staff Meetings and all other employee recognition events

Assist department managers and supervisors with Human Resources issues as needed and be knowledgeable in Center personnel and safety policies and procedures

Maintain compliance with HWAC policies and procedures.

Participate in Center activities and events as required

Complete other assignments as required

What you bring :

5 years experience in Human Resources

Degree / certification may replace a year of experience

Previous Payroll supervision & e xperience processing payroll for multiple departments required

Excellent technology skills (must be comfortable with new tech)

Strong attention to detail and solid organizational skills

Ability to pass a background check

Knowledge of employee motivational methods a plus

Experience with Paycor HRIS a plus

As this position may require occasional driving duties, employee must possess a valid Driver's License. Employee must complete a Driver Information Form and provide a recent DMV Driving Record Report to be kept on file, as well as proof of insurance.

Helen Woodward Animal Center is a smoke-free environment. Smoking is not permitted in any HWAC building or vehicle
