Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and improvement of all Helena Motors facilities and grounds. This position ensures that the dealership’s buildings, service shops, and exterior areas are safe, clean, and in proper working condition. The Maintenance Technician will perform routine maintenance, respond to repair requests, and coordinate with outside vendors as needed to support the operational needs of the dealership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on building systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and lighting.
  • Maintain and repair dealership facilities, including showrooms, offices, service bays, and restrooms.
  • Handle basic carpentry, painting, and minor construction or remodeling projects.
  • Perform seasonal grounds maintenance such as snow removal, ice control, lawn care, and landscaping tasks.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies to minimize operational downtime.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and building regulations.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and projects when necessary.
  • Support special dealership events and projects with facility setup and tear-down as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification preferred.
  • 2 years of facility maintenance or building repair experience required.
  • Knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and light equipment safely.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., work in varying weather conditions, and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.

Schedule & Compensation:

  • Full-time position, schedule may include occasional evenings or weekends for emergencies or special projects.
  • Competitive hourly wage based on experience.
