Job Description:
In the Team Leader role you will oversee this program, a counseling staff and the participants’ needs and progress.
- The Team Leader represents the agency to the community and conducts program administrative review and clinical review.
- Qualified candidates will have the demonstrated ability to assure continuing process improvement and staff development; and will implement quality improvement initiatives.
- This position assures program record documentation compliance with agency and regulatory standards.
- We are seeking applicants who have the ability to supervise, are adaptable to changing needs of a specialized population, possess strong solution based thinking and leadership skills and have a desire to direct a team that provides a supportive environment that allows program participants to gain confidence in self sustainability and independent living while addressing their chemical dependency symptoms.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree, Master’s Degree in an appropriate program is preferred
- Minimum 3 years clinical experience in an appropriate program setting
- An equivalent alternative combination of training and experience will be considered
- Qualified Health Professional status (LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, etc.)
- Knowledge of the bio psychosocial process of addiction/recovery, behavioral health, self-help group process and principles of counseling
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in provision of supervision
- Sound judgment, strong leadership skills and cultural competency Strong organizational and delegation skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to relate effectively with staff, clients, internal and external community agencies
- Proficiency in computer software skills such as Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to perform duties independently
- Valid NYS Driver’s License required
