Essential Responsibilities
- People Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of scientists, technicians, and support staff.
- Create a positive and inclusive work culture that promotes engagement, accountability, and professional growth.
- Project Management
- Oversee multiple R&D projects from concept to commercialization, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Implement best practices in planning, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Technical Leadership
- Provide expertise in Energy & Infrastructure coatings, including formulation, testing, and performance evaluation.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements.
- Motivational Leadership & Team Engagement
- Inspire and energize the team to achieve ambitious goals and deliver innovative solutions.
- Organize team-building activities and foster a culture of collaboration and creativity.
- Effective Communication
- Communicate project updates, technical findings, and strategic plans clearly to cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
- Prepare and deliver presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and strategic partners.
- Represent the R&D function in cross-functional meetings and external collaborations.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in R&D, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record in coatings technology (infrastructure and architectural applications preferred).
- Strong project management skills (PMP certification is a plus).
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
