Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Lathe Machinist/Programmer, located in Deerfield Beach, FL. The Lathe Machinist/Programmer will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC and manual lathes, creating and editing CNC programs, interpreting blueprints and technical drawings, handling precision measurement tools, and ensuring quality control. Daily tasks will also involve troubleshooting machining issues, maintaining equipment, and collaborating with team members to optimize machining processes.
Qualifications
- Experience in operating CNC and manual lathes
- Proficiency in creating and editing CNC programs (Fusion, Feature CAM, or Inventor)
- Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Skills in using precision measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers
- Strong background in quality control and troubleshooting machining issues
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Technical certification or Associate's degree in a related field is preferred
- Previous experience of 5 years in a manufacturing or machining environment is preferred
