HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE: As a Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for day shift maintenance, by completing work orders and projects based on production and safety needs. This position is responsible for continuous improvement in downtime, quality and schedule performance of equipment.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facilitys equipment.
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
- Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
- Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Travel to IDCs to assist with projects as needed.
- Flexible work schedule and ability to share On Call responsibilities during off hours.
- Ability to communicate with Equipment Service Techs to troubleshoot and limit downtime issues.
- Must have knowledge of buildings, grounds, and equipment used at Henderson Products.
- May be assigned related duties other than those specified.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Minimum 1 year of Industrial Maintenance experience.
- Preferred knowledge mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, HVAC, hydraulic, and welding background.
- Construction background knowledge a plus.
- Preferred knowledge mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, HVAC, hydraulic, and welding background.
- Capable of operating hand, power and specialized tools.
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
- Certified or ability to be certified in operating forklift, skid loader, man lift, tugger, etc.
- Knowledge of computers and operating systems
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Graduate
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Bending, lifting, standing, heights, and confined spaces
- Exposure to temperature fluctuation, noise and weld & grinding smoke when working in production area.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
