What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Dental Assistant position at Hendersonville Pediatric Dentistry?
We are looking to grow our team, and are seeking a child-adolescent focused, compassionate, team-work oriented, enthusiastic individual to add to our dental team. Experience and DANB Certification with completion from a CODA Accredited Program is a must. We want you to be skilled in providing direct/indirect patient care and a positive experience for our patients and their families. As a CDA in our office, you’ll ensure excellent care of our patients as well as establishing relationships. Pay will be based upon experience.
Essential Functions
- Perform Prophylaxis Cleanings (Coronal Polishing) and assist Dr. McKenzie with Periodic Exams.
- Instructing patients (and/or parents) in proper oral health techniques.
- Maintaining and preparing dental records and reports
- Sustaining patient comfort during procedures
- Taking X-Rays
- Managing Clinic Supplies
- Set Up/Break Down of exam rooms/chairs
- Sterilization of instruments
- Assist with operative procedures as needed
Qualifications
- Dental Radiography Certification (REQUIRED)
- DANB Dental Assisting Certification (REQUIRED)
- Desire to work as a productive team member (Required)
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service (Required)
