What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plasma Operator position at Hendrickson?
Position Purpose:
Performs functions including the ability to operate plasma cutters, overhead hoists and other related machines
Essential Functions:
- Operate plasma cutters and material handling equipment such as overhead hosts and cranes
- Meet established production standards
- Conduct required quality checks using Tape/Calipers (basic measuring equipment)
- Accurately report daily activities on work orders and other media as required
- Utilize Microsoft Office
- Exercise safe working habits while operating machines
- Keep machine and work areas clean and free of safety hazards
- Comply with Quality Management System
- Other duties as assigned
- Maintain regular attendance
Education and Training
- High school diploma or GED required
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be able to meet production standards and follow directions
- Must be able to read and understand blueprints with geometric tolerancing
- Must be able to speak, read and write legibly in English
- Must have Microsoft office experience, specifically Excel
Physical Demands
- Must be able to physically lift 40 lbs. unassisted
Environmental Conditions
- Exposure to extreme heat and extreme cold while in the plant
- Fast paced work environment

- Ability to work independently
- Must be able to interact appropriately with internal and external parties

Salary : $32,700 - $41,400
