Description
Hennebery Eddy Architects seeks an interior designer to collaborate with teams on public sector, corporate, academic, and historic resources projects. This individual will be a member of integrated project teams, working with project leaders to execute conceptual designs, presentations, design development, and construction documents. We currently have hybrid positions open at our office in Portland, OR.
Typical Responsibilities
- Participate in programming, space planning, selection of FF&E, color palettes, material presentations, project documentation, and specifications
- Assist in managing client expectations, team communication, and consultant coordination
- Flexibility to focus on a single client with a variety of project types, or multiple, concurrent projects in various stages of development
- Actively contribute to mentorship, office culture, initiatives, and learning programs
Preferred Qualifications
- NCIDQ Certification preferred
- LEED or Living Future Accreditation preferred
- Demonstrated programming and space planning skills
- Proficiency in Revit, Bluebeam, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Working knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, specifications, and building codes
- Advanced design, visual, and graphic presentation skills including hand sketching
- Bachelor's or master's degree in interior design or related field from accredited school
- Demonstrated experience working effectively with clients, consultants, and contractors
- Demonstrated success in complex programming, design, and FF&E coordination
- Six or more years of experience relevant interior design experience
