Are you ready to take the next step in your legal career? The Henry County Commonwealth's Attorney's Office is expanding, and we are looking for a dedicated Legal Assistant to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment alongside talented professionals who are committed to excellence. This individual will perform intermediate legal, clerical and administrative work. Qualified individual should have an understanding of the judicial process and legal procedures and practices; knowledge of the criminal justice system is preferred. This individual must be able to communicate effectively and interact with courts and counsel while exercising good judgment and discretion.
High School Diploma or equivalent required with a minimum of three years of experience in a legal setting such as a law office, governmental agency, court system or other comparable setting. The minimum starting annual salary for this position is $37,766 ($19.36/hour) and may be increased depending on relevant experience and qualifications, plus excellent benefits outlined below. The work schedule is 37 ½ hours per week. Initial screening will include a computer aptitude test.
