Customer Service Representative -Henry Ford at Home - 40 Hours - Days
Days: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
Eligible for Full Time Benefits
Weekends: Rotate - Every 5th Week
Holidays: Rotate every 5 Holidays
This role serves as the central intake hub for Henry Ford Jackson Hospital's at Home programs, including Home Health, Hospice, and Palliative Care. The Intake department is responsible for processing all incoming calls, faxes, and referrals related to these services.
Candidates must be highly detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. This position collaborates closely with schedulers, hospital liaisons, the insurance verification team, and external referral sources to ensure timely and accurate coordination of care.
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under general supervision of the Leader of Central Intake and following routine procedures, implements and coordinates Home Health Care admission processes.
Responsible for:
- The daily compilation and entry of demographic and operational information in Epic.
- Acts as a mentor and instructs others in the development of skills necessary for the position.
EDUCATION
* Requires a high school diploma or GED.
* College coursework in business or related field preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
* Requires the ability to accurately type and demonstrate proficiency with a personal computer.
* Requires strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills in order to positively interface with all internal and external customers.
* Requires the ability to perform simple mathematical calculations and operate basic office equipment.
* Requires the analytical ability to gather data, compile reports, work on special projects, etc.
