Description:
Henry Ford Health Game On Cancer Student Intern Position is an opportunity for students to gain experience in volunteer management, events, and peer to peer fundraising in a corporate organization specializing in health care. Students will receive hands-on training.
Game On Cancer is dedicated to raising funds to support Henry Ford Cancer patients and their families facing financial toxicity while receiving treatment. Game On Cancer regularly engages with corporate and individual donors, volunteers, and work closely with some Detroit major sports teams.
Some weekend work is needed, but we are also willing to work around student school schedule (minimum of 25 hours).
The position pays $15.00 an hour. No benefit are offered.
Internship duration to last 3 to 6 months with the possibility to extend based on performance.
Responsibilities:
· Volunteer Management; Recruiting, scheduling, and coordination
· Assist with logistics of Game On Cancer Events
· Manage 3 rd party event benefiting Game On Cancer
· Participate in meeting and brainstorming
· Some data entry work
Qualifications:
- Junior or Senior level college student
- Proficient in MicroSoft Office Suite and Outlook
- Ability to prioritize and manage time and deadlines
- Reliable transportation
- Local candidates
- Available for nights and weekends based on Game On Cancer calendar of events
