What are the responsibilities and job description for the Volunteer: Social Media Content and Strategy position at Here to Serve, Inc.?
This is a volunteer opportunity provided by Taproot Foundation, a nonprofit creating social change through pro bono connections.
Develop a social media strategy and create Canva-ready posts for Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and X using our provided photos and graphic assets. Collaborate with board member Brianna Matz on messaging and revisions. The exact volume and cadence will be discussed with volunteers.
Consistent, strategic social media will increase awareness of our wraparound services for young families navigating cancer, help connect families to needed supports, and attract donors and volunteers. Volunteers’ work will amplify stories and resources that protect families’ health, home, and financial stability.
Brianna Matz will oversee the project and provide photos and graphic assets for use. Volunteers will draft post copy through Canva layouts for review. Specific goals, posting cadence, and approval workflow will be provided during interviews so volunteers can start productively.
Here to Serve Mission: We believe a child or young parent’s cancer diagnosis is a life-altering journey. For that reason, the care and support of the family are required to avoid parent(s) from losing their physical and mental health, home, job, and/or entering into bankruptcy. Therefore, we provide wraparound services to meet the daily living needs of young families navigating cancer.
