Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized professional to join our growing team at Hernandez Chiropractic & Wellness. In this role, you will work at the front desk, assisting our patients and other visitors, and welcoming them into the business. Your primary job duties will include greeting patients, checking them in, answering questions, assisting with any administrative matters pertaining to patient need(s), collecting patient co-pays and other payment types/methods, processing paperwork, and scheduling appointments. You will also help maintain records and assist with keeping the lobby and front office areas clean and organized, ensuring our office provides a welcoming environment for all patients and visitors.

Thursday 12-6 pm
Friday 9-6 pm
Saturday 8:30- 1 pm
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and other visitors when they arrive
- Answer patient questions and provide assistance when necessary
- Distribute any necessary forms and paperwork to patients, reviewing to ensure that all required fields are completed properly
- Insurance benefits verification
- Assisting with the preparation of patient treatment room usage
- Collect co-pays and other payment types/methods, and input insurance payments
- Manage inbound and outbound phone calls and respond to emails promptly
- Maintain any necessary inventory of office supplies and/or health-related/retail products, coordinate any necessary reordering, keeping all needs in stock and available
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the front office and lobby areas, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment
Requirements/Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business or health-related focus preferred, High school diploma or equivalent accepted, additionally open to working students pursuing a Bachelor’s degree
- High School Diploma and completion of a certificate program in the medical field will serve as acceptable, meeting education requirement(s)
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, efficient with multi-tasking
- Reliable transportation to and from the office is required
- 2 years of experience working as an administrative assistant, executive assistant, receptionist, customer service representative or other relevant, applicable role preferred
- General familiarity with medical terminology, and basic, common terms
- Bilingual is a plus
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 22 per week
