Under direct supervision, implements and supervises recreational programs, ensuring compliance with all County policies, procedures, and safety regulations at all times. Assists in program planning and promotion, and in the supervision of summer camp staff.

Lead, direct, supervise and assist children in group activities, educational programs, arts and crafts, individual and team sports, swimming, off-site field trips, games, and special events. This position will act as a positive role model, ensuring safe, diverse, and fun activities with children in a day camp environment; will safely participate in all activities on a daily basis, ensuring camper participation. Acts as the information source for parents and addresses complaints and concerns. Performs other reasonable related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or other management personnel.
Minimum Requirements
Applicant(s) selected for this position must undergo a Level 2 background screening with satisfactory results as determined by HCSO. Candidate must pass pre-employment physical and drug-screening.

Minimum Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma.
- Two (2) years experience in a leisure-related field and experience in supervising, planning and directing organized activities.
- Prior camp experience preferred.
- Valid CPR and First-Aid certification (required to obtain).
- Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License with a good driving record as defined by current insurance carrier.
- The knowledge, skills and ability to facilitate, teach and/or supervise recreational activities
- Ability to plan and lead various and recreational activities.
- Organization skills and ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of a wide variety of recreational activities, both indoor and outdoor.
- Ability to maintain a good working relationships with employees and the public.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, holidays and weekends.
