Hero Pet Animal Hospital is a full-service veterinary hospital located in Westville, IN. Our state-of-the-art facility features 5 exam rooms, a spacious waiting room, in-room checkout, a full in-house laboratory, ultrasound, cold laser therapy, laser scalpel, and laparoscopy. We have rapidly grown to serve over 10,000clients and have more than 18,000 patients in just under 3 years. Currenly Hero Pet has 2 full time doctors and 4 relief/part time doctors. As a member of VMG, we have access to advanced training in surgery, dentistry, client communication, and leadership, allowing us to constantly improve our services and remain at the forefront of medical offerings.
Under the leadership of Dr. Lisa Booth, our medical director and owner, who has over 20 years of experience in the area, we are passionate about helping hero pets. Dr. Booth has served as a medical director for 3 shelters and runs a non-profit organization called Kit For K9's, providing free advanced first aid training and first aid kits to working hero K9's. We also offer free medical services and medicines to all working K9's, and collaborate with local rescues and shelters to provide free exams and discounted services.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role as an Associate Veterinarian at Hero Pet Animal Hospital located in Westville, IN. As an Associate Veterinarian, you will be responsible for providing advanced medical care and surgical services to pets. You will also collaborate with the medical director, Dr. Lisa Booth, and the rest of the veterinary team to ensure excellent patient care and client service.
Qualifications
- Strong diagnostic and medical skills in general practice
- Proficiency in performing surgeries and dental procedures
- Experience in emergency medicine
- Knowledge of preventive care and wellness plans
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team and collaborate effectively
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Prior experience working with working hero pets or in shelter medicine is a plus
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary school
- Licensure to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Indiana

Salary : $95,000 - $120,000
