What are the responsibilities and job description for the Title I Interventionist position at Heron Pond School?
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
Under direction of the Asistant Superintendent and Title I Coordinator this position assists students, grades K-1 with reading and/or mathematics skills.
* This position is contingent upon Title I grant funding.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of child development, instructional strategies and practices applicable to assignment.
An understanding of the social, emotional, and intellectual characteristics of children.
Ability to assist with implementation of the instructional program and to participate in monitoring and ensuring appropriate student behavior.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and to perform all required tasks.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Knowledge of standard desktop computer hardware and software such as MS Office products and database software.
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in applicable field of education from an accredited college or university.
CERTIFICATE AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:
New Hampshire Department of Education certification, Elementary Education Grade 2-5
SCHEDULE:
Part-time, 5.5 hours per day/5 days per week
10 Months
