General Definition of WorkPerforms intermediate clerical work involving the appraisal, listing and billings of individual and business real and personal property taxes; does related work as required. Work is performed under immediate supervision.

Essential Functions/Typical TasksListing taxes; preparing and mailing tax bills; performing clerical assistance tasks; entering; maintaining records and files; assisting the publicThe following functions are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work performed. The omission of specific duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment to the position.Performs a variety of office assistance tasks in the appraisal, listing and billing of taxes.Assists callers and walk-in customers; answering questions; provide information.Assists with the listing, preparations and mailing of tax bills.Prepares correspondence, letters, notices, etc. to taxpayers concerning a variety of issues; prepares reports.Prints and prepares abstracts; keys in business personal property information that is listed on business abstracts.Processes mobile home owners park reports and land use a variety of sources.Prepares notices to property owners who improved, brought, sold, or requested reviews.Prepares and processes bills corrections; maintains records on voids and backbills.Receives payment; issues receipts for property records cards; balance cash drawer.
