Purpose of the Job
The Senior Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager will lead, support and provide guidance to the billing, cash applications and collections teams across the NAM and LATAM region as part of the Global Finance Operations team. Reporting into the Finance Operations Director (NAM & LATAM), this role will work closely with the Global Finance Operations leadership team and the Senior AR Manager for EMEA and APAC in supporting, understanding and continuing to optimize and standardize our AR related finance operations processes and ways of working across these regions and globally, creating one team and culture.
This role will be responsible for leading, developing and supporting the AR teams in the LATAM and NAM region with ownership of billing, AR and cash application processes across the NAM and LATAM region, working closely with the wider Finance Operations teams to support in developing a high performing team, creating best in class processes globally, a cohesive team and ways of working regardless of location, along with enabling and supporting the business in growth and acquisition and absorbing more volume into our processes, ensuring a high level of customer service is provided to our internal and external teams.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, support, develop and provide guidance to AR and billing leads & teams across NAM and LATAM. Teams are based in Chicago, Mexico City, Brazil, Colombia & Peru
Work closely with cross functional partners and leadership teams in Finance, Client Engagement and Operational Business Partnering gaining buy in and ensuring concerns and issues are addressed
Evaluate and recommend solutions for continuous improvement across AR
Monitor account aging reports, identify and support team to work with client engagement teams to resolve delinquent accounts to support cashflow and reduce aged debt
Take the lead in resolving problem/difficult accounts and implementing ongoing process to maintain clean status
Support the Finance Operations leadership team in implementing the vision, values and strategy promoting its services to the business and acting as a role model to HH Global employees
Instigate a service culture with an emphasis on strong customer service within the team
Lead, mentor, and create a high performing, integrated and proactive team operating as "one team" regardless of location or Manager
Ensure team are adhering to clear expectations set in terms of roles and responsibilities and that key AR activities are in place, reiterated and proactively being managed by the in country managers/team leads, specifically including: professional client interactions, ability to prioritize, timely allocation of cash and chasing of debt, understanding of the debt position and escalating when necessary, understanding of the end to end process and impact to results, etc.
Accountable for ensuring AR teams across NAM LATAM region adheres to Compliance & Risk frameworks supporting regulatory requirements specifically, but not limited to, Compliance and Internal Audit
Knowledge, Skills Experience
6 years of experience leading AR and billing teams or Finance Operations teams or leading a Finance SSC or a month end related Finance team
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Strong delivery leadership and team management experience
Can do attitude and not afraid of getting involved in the detail/processes when needed
Experience of collaborating cross-functionally and driving results while working with a wide variety of stakeholders
Naturally collaborative style, but with a determination to achieve the right outcomes, to help the whole team succeed
Ability to work and lead effectively
Experience of working in a multinational organization with a geographically dispersed workforce
Requires a proactive and results oriented professional with a passion for/understanding of process improvement and continuous improvement
Some travel will be required across the LATAM region

For Illinois applicants: The US base salary range for this position is $100,000 to $120,000 annually. Actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors that are unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, certifications and work location. This range may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor. The total compensation for this package includes an annual bonus target.
