Baggage Service Agent
- Wage: $16/hour
- Full-time and part-time positions available
- Day/Evening/Night shifts available
- Background check, drug screen, and proof of employment eligibility required
- Location: Delta Air Lines Cargo Memphis - AVN
We’re looking for friendly, compassionate, team players to join our baggage service team!
Keep the airport baggage claim area neat and organized while assisting customers to find lost luggage. Provide excellent service for every customer to support a positive airport experience.
Responsibilities
- Direct customers to the correct baggage carousel and assist with locating luggage
- Log and organized all unclaimed baggage
- Read and evaluate bag tags to ensure the correct bags are processed
- Assist with loading bags onto conveyor belts and moving bags as needed
- Return empty baggage tubs and other equipment to the proper storage area
- Follow all HHS and regulatory procedures and best practices
- Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment
- Must practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and be in uniform
- Preferred: Customer service experience (aviation, airline)
Physical Requirements
- Standing, walking, squatting, bending, twisting, kneeling, and reaching continuously throughout a shift
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
- Pushing and pulling carts or equipment (over 100 lb.) on tile and carpeted floors continuously throughout a shift
- Must be able to operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the job
