Position Summary:
The Coordinator of the Bariatric Surgery Program under the direction of the Bariatric Program Administrator and the Bariatric Medical Director performs the functions of the Bariatric Surgery Program activities, in accordance with facility policies, philosophy, objectives and standards. Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the delivery of Bariatric patient care. Acts as a liaison with families and physicians. The Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all personnel, supplies and equipment for the Surgical Weight Loss Patients and for promoting teamwork with physicians, patients and personnel.
Position Qualification:
§ Registered Nurse with minimum two (2) years clinical experience in surgery. Bariatric experience preferred.
§ Bachelor's degree, preferably in Nursing.
§ Demonstrates leadership, critical thinking and organizational and time management skills.
§ Computer literate.
Required Licenses/Certifications:
§ State of Florida Registered Nurse Licensure or LPN Licensure
§ National Bariatric Certification from ASMBS within 2 years
§ Basic Life Support (American Heart Association)
§ ACLS (American Heart Association)
