Overview
We are seeking a Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and be comfortable handling cashier responsibilities in a fast-paced retail environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide them with a positive shopping experience
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using a Point of Sale (POS) system
- Assist customers in locating products and making purchasing decisions
- Perform product demonstrations to showcase key features and benefits
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Answer customer inquiries via phone or in-person
- Uphold company policies and procedures for sales transactions
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred
- Ability to supervise and lead a team is a plus
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and colleagues
- Proficiency in basic math for cash handling and transactions
- Knowledge of sales techniques to promote products and upsell when appropriate
- Familiarity with phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week
