What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Nursing position at Hickory Manor?
Come join our team! We have an excellent opportunity for a dynamic and experienced professional to oversee the clinical operations at our Skilled Nursing Facility as a Director of Nursing in Licking, MO. This person needs to be a Registered Nurse with a current Missouri Nursing License. The Director of Nursing (DON) will work closely with the Administrator to lead the Nursing Department. This is a salaried position, working Monday-Friday 8am to 4:30pm. The DON is on-call and additional hours may be required to meet the demands of the position at times.
Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:
The DON will ensure excellent resident care by making daily rounds to insure proper care by staff; help determine labor utilization, assist in planning, development of staff and directing staff on a daily basis. Maintains administrative authority, responsibility and accountability for the operations of the Nursing Department in accordance with local, state and federal guidelines and regulations. Set objectives and long-term goals for the nursing department. Control budgets and monitor expenditures. Collaborate with other departments and professionals to streamline operations. Report to upper management.
