Summary/Objective
The Shipping Associate supports daily shipping operations by preparing documentation, coordinating pickups, and ensuring accuracy of all outbound shipments. This role requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to assist multiple departments with shipping and administrative needs.
Essential Functions

- Work safely and be actively engaged in site safety programs.
- Prepare documentation for daily shipments, including closing, moving, and creating shipment RO’s, as well as generating shipping labels (including customs forms for Canadian shipments).
- Schedule pickups through carrier web portals (Paccar PDC’s, Wabash, Stoughton, McNeilus, Utilimaster, and Volvo PDC) in compliance with their guidelines.
- Using third party logistic software to enter shipment details to apply the carriers’ rates.
- Coordinate shipments as requested, including transfers between company locations.
- Confirm all shipments leaving the dock to ensure accuracy.
- Scan all shipment documents into Acumatica for proper recordkeeping.
- Create labels for Daimler PDC’s and Paccar PDC’s.
- Perform hit tracking and related data entry for management (Greg and Alex).
- Order and maintain shop supply inventory.
- Track and report foil tape usage for Buyer/planners.
- Provide general assistance to the Production Manager and other team members as needed.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, production environment.
- Self-motivated to work with minimal supervision.
- Possess effective communication skills.
- Prior shipping, logistics, or warehouse experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to navigate web portals and ERP systems (Acumatica experience a plus).

- Work is performed in a factory setting.
- Prolonged periods sitting and performing repetitive tasks.
- Frequent bending, reaching, and stretching when handling packages or supplies.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment and shipping tools
Preferred Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent GED
- Or 1–3 years of shipping, logistics, or warehouse experience preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems (Acumatica or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with carrier scheduling portals and shipping documentation processes.
- Prior experience in a hybrid office/warehouse support role is a plus.
