What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Designer - Boy's and Toddler position at High Life LLC?
This Senior Designer role for Reebok Boys and Toddler Boys is a great opportunity for a self-starter who identifies and applies Activewear trends in the market. Although working directly with the Design Director, this role would require the ability to work seamlessly with cross-functional partners at a large capacity, from both a creative standpoint and a logistical mindset. Designing intuitively is an important aspect about this role- applying trend right ideas to designs that speaks to mass market.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the design process from conception to final production samples.
- Design impactful, intentional designs with newness in fabrics and trims that will speak to customers.
- Lead with both confidence and kindness in working with cross-functional partners.
- Communicate clearly and succinctly when working through fast changes we need to impact in a timely manner.
- Own the process from start to end of each season.
- Bring color and concepts to the table, share ideas and designs with Design Director.
- Share approved colors and designs with SVP, alongside Design Director.
- Work closely with VP of Merchandising for assortment of the line, alongside Design Director
- Develop clean and easy to understand tech packs in illustrator which will be uploaded to PLM and work closely with Technical Design Team for all fittings.
- Create compelling Presentations, Mood Boards, Concepts for both internal purposes to show Design Director and for meetings with buyers.
- Go trend and market shopping quarterly and as frequently as needed based online needs.
- Be able to solve problems alongside Design Director for any issues that may arise during all parts of the process.
Qualifications:
- BFA in Fashion Design
- 5-8 years of experience in Activewear Design; Men’s and/or Boys preferred
- Must have knowledge of children's wear compliance
- Highly proficient in Illustrator
- Highly organized in both thinking process and work output
- Multi-tasker who is capable of quickly pivoting for business needs
- Great at problem solving with a can-do positive attitude!
- Excellent communicator
Annual salary starting at $90,000.
