Position Title: Dream Big Coordinator

Summary:
Guided by the Program Director, the Dream Big Coordinator is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing the Dream Big Program’s curriculum, activities, and agency-required data collection. This role ensures all experiences align with Board directives and comply with applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Dream Big Coordinator is solely responsible for overseeing the daily curriculum and activities of the Dream Big Program at High Point Village, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. This role is dedicated to creating an engaging, supportive, and meaningful environment that meets the social, emotional, and educational needs of Villagers. Responsibilities include:
- Designing and delivering curriculum and activities that foster growth and development in social, emotional, educational, life, and pre-vocational skills.
- Overseeing all operational aspects of the program, including the calendar, transportation logistics, daily scheduling, materials and supplies, agency requirements, and budget management.
- Implementing behavior supports and individualized accommodations based on best practices tailored to each Villager’s needs.
- Applying effective classroom management strategies to create a structured and positive learning environment.
- Identifying and incorporating sensory processing accommodations to support individual Villagers.
- Developing and providing visual supports for curriculum, daily schedules, and all program activities to ensure accessibility for all learners.
- Maintaining open, ethical, and respectful communication with parents and caregivers.
- Collaborating with community partners to offer Villagers diverse and enriching experiences.
- Offering individualized support to Villagers as needed to ensure full participation and engagement.
- Ensuring all Villagers receive assistance and support appropriate to their physical and functional abilities.
- Monitoring the program for challenges and collaborating with the Program Director to address concerns as they arise.
- Maintaining a positive, team-oriented approach when interacting with staff and community organizations.
- Working alongside the Program Director to establish and advance both short- and long-term goals for the Dream Big Program.

Establishes and maintains effective internal control systems to track all program-related income and expenses. Develops annual budget items and ensures program funds are used efficiently and appropriately throughout the fiscal year.

Demonstrates a strong understanding of the technical and operational aspects of program management. Offers informed guidance to staff and seeks expert input when needed. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of the role’s responsibilities and stays current on best practices. Clearly aligns with and actively supports High Point Village’s educational mission and works consistently to advance its goals.
Initiative in Advancing Organizational Goals:Through ongoing collaboration with management, staff, and volunteers, the Program Director identifies and communicates key issues impacting the organization to the Executive Director and helps implement strategies to achieve established goals. The Reach High Coordinator is expected to take proactive steps in creating action plans and addressing challenges as they arise, working closely with the Program Director, Executive Director, and other team members as needed.

Demonstrates experience in delivering individualized instruction tailored to each learner’s strengths, interests, and sensory needs. Emphasizes consistency and structure, recognizing the value of predictable routines in reducing anxiety. Skilled in using visual schedules, facilitating smooth transitions, applying step-by-step task analysis, and implementing Positive Behavior Supports (PBS) to promote success and engagement.
Communication:
Effectively conveys information to diverse audiences through multiple formats. This includes clear written communications that detail situations and action steps; verbal presentations and briefings to program staff, the Executive Director, and other stakeholders; as well as representing High Point Village at local meetings and external groups on various organizational matters.
Dependability:
Demonstrates a strong commitment to the organization’s goals by seeking greater responsibility while consistently being conscientious, thorough, accurate, and reliable. Responsively addresses the needs of Villagers and volunteers at High Point Village, remaining available and attentive to issues and concerns as they arise.
Education and/or Experience:
A bachelor’s degree in education, Human Development and Family Studies, or a related field is preferred. The Dream Big Coordinator should also possess the skills, knowledge, and willingness to learn that may come from formal education or a minimum of three years’ experience in similar business, non-profit programming, or related areas. Experience working with individuals with diverse needs and learning styles, including implementing accommodations, is essential. Familiarity with behavior change and behavior modification strategies is required. Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities is strongly preferred.

Hours required are presently 8:00 -4:00 Monday through Thursday and 9:00-12:00 Friday.

Pay: $35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
