Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Foreman to oversee day-to-day landscape maintenance operations. The ideal candidate will lead a maintenance crew, ensuring high-quality service delivery, safety compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of maintenance crews for residential, commercial, or municipal landscaping projects
- Assign tasks, provide training, and ensure proper use of equipment and safety protocols
- Conduct site inspections to ensure quality standards, health of plant material, and irrigation performance
- Monitor and maintain tools, vehicles, and materials inventory; report maintenance or supply needs
- Liaise with clients or property managers to address concerns, schedule services, and ensure satisfaction
- Interpret and execute landscape maintenance plans and seasonal schedules
- Maintain accurate records of hours, job progress, materials used, and incidents
- Identify and report landscape issues (e.g., pests, diseases, irrigation failures) to management or propose solutions
- Enforce safety guidelines and company policies among team members
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or horticultural training preferred
- Minimum 3 years of experience in landscape maintenance, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of plant care, turf management, pruning, and irrigation systems
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL is a plus
- Ability to operate and maintain landscaping equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, etc.)
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read site plans and maintenance schedules
- Physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift 50 pounds regularly
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required):
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a strong advantage
- Pesticide Applicator’s License or related certifications
- CPR/First Aid certification
Work Environment:
- Outdoor work environment with exposure to varying weather conditions.
- Physically demanding role: requires standing, bending, digging, lifting, and use of small equipment.
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be required during peak seasons or emergencies.
