We are looking for caring and professional individuals who want to make a difference! Higher Grounds ILS provides adults with disabilities a variety of services while promoting self-advocacy and education. We build a personalized network of resources and tools to help our clients achieve their goals and thrive in their community.
WHAT IS AN ILS INSTRUCTOR?
Like a 1:1 personal coach, you will provide training and instruction to clients with developmental disabilities in order to promote each person's individual growth while helping them achieve their goals.
Some duites may include but are not limited to;
*We do NOT provide personal hygiene care.
We do provide training in objectives around shopping, budgeting, money management and record keeping. Social skills, self-advocacy, utilization of community resources, community integration and community safety. Guidance with meal preparation and planning, household maintenance, transportation goals, and emergency preparedness. Medical and dental scheduling and attendance.
Guidance in Housing, educational and vocational options.
All consumers have different goals, different dreams. You will help them to obtain them.
BASIC POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
- Immediate access to a vehicle with working seat belts and ability to transport clients.
- Valid driver's license, current car insurance
- Able to pass a criminal background check (we pay)
- Clean DMV record
- Able to pass a TB test (we pay)
- Proof of Covid-19 vaccination/boosted
PAID TRAINING PROVIDED
Pay $21-$23/hr. dependent on experience. Mileage reimbursement and WEEKENDS OFF
Hours of operation M-F 8am-6pm
