What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavior Treatment Specialist position at Highfields Inc?

Overview:
The Behavior Treatment Specialist supports the Ingham Academy and Horizon Programs by engaging with students, helping them to maximize their strengths, build assets for successful community-based living. You will work directly with groups of students through regularly planned structured group activities such as recreational therapy, special development groups, study hours, and activities. Ingham Academy is a day treatment program for adjudicated youth. It gives youth involved in the court system a second chance at a high school education.

The hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday during the school year. Half days during summer school. This is a salary position. Winter and spring breaks paid.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma and solid history working with students.
  • Valid Driver's License

Travel Requirement:

Daily travel includes transporting students to and from Ingham Academy, appointments, and/or other activities.
Chauffeur's license required, or must have ability to obtain. Highfields will reimburse to obtain.
