Built in the 1920s, the neo-Gothic landmark building at 1530 Main Street was originally the Dallas National Bank. It dominated the downtown skyline during a thriving era of Dallas banking and West Texas oil booms. Downtown Dallas flourished through the '80s, but as the 20th century drew to a close, it was a shadow of its former glory. A decade of development deals and massive renovations transformed the then-vacant bank building into a Forbes four-star boutique hotel. While the ideal candidate will have a solid experience, working in our restaurant will require an eagerness for learning and development.
- Present menus, answer questions and make personalized suggestions regarding food and beverage pairings.
- Place guest's orders according to cooking and prep times, ensuring a seamless and impeccable service.
- Partner with team members to serve food and beverages that meet or exceed guests' expectations.
- Communicate with guests to ensure their satisfaction and collect additional feedback and insights.
- Respond to additional guests requirements by inquiring of needs; observing dining process.
- Clean and set up the dining areas for the following service.
- Refill service areas according to the departments' standards.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by leader.
- Exhibit food knowledge.
- Must be able to detail and define all ingredients on the food menu, and recommend menu pairings accordingly.
- Must be familiar with cooking methods and prep times.
- Display wine and beverage knowledge.
- Must maintain accuracy of all items on the food, cocktail, beer, and wine menu.
- Organized and detail oriented with the ability to be flexible.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move product, equipment and supplies up to fifty (50) pounds.
