Description
This person works directly with the Warehouse Manager and assists in the operation in the warehouse that builds orders of product. The guidelines, best practice and policies are aligned to the packaging of manufacturing departments parameters, the material handler produces quality results without waste.
Essential Functions:
Ø Work directly with the warehouse Manager
Ø Ensure quality, accuracy, and speed of organization and loading operations; meet manufacturing or packaging department warehouse objectives within budget, and profit and loss parameters.
Ø Allocate necessary space for stock rotation
Ø FIFO
Ø Assist and maintain appropriate inventory levels and product replenishment
Ø Directly handle shipping and receiving functions as applicable
Ø Secure company assets
Ø Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Ø Complete all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate fashion
Ø Participate in establishing department and associate-specific goals, including productivity, quality, personal growth and professional development
Ø Assume responsibility of departmental goals and participate in achieving these goals daily
Ø Work in a proactive manner
Ø Work with additional team members daily to assist in keeping the production lines moving efficiently
Requirements
Basic Qualifications
Ø 1 year in a warehouse environment
Ø Barcode scanning experience preferred
Ø Ability to lead and unify efforts across large teams
Ø Excellent communication skills
Ø Experienced material handler with strong organizational skills
Ø Comfortable with and ability to use, learn and train new technology
Ø Ability to facilitate change within the organization in a positive manner
Ø Work in a safe manner at all times
Physical Requirements
Ø Vision, hearing, and speaking to meet performance standard.
Ø Bending, stooping, climbing, twisting, walking, standing, pushing, pulling, grasping, fine manipulation, close work, and manual dexterity needed for using tools.
Ø Work independently, sit for extended periods of time, ability to utilize current technology to complete assigned tasks.
Ø Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 75 lbs
