Key Responsibilities:
- Learn and utilize the agency management system to support employee benefits analysis, reporting, and client deliverables
- Develop a foundational understanding of the employee benefits industry, including health and welfare plans, compliance requirements, and carrier operations
- Support benefits analysts, service, and sales teams by shadowing client meetings and internal strategy discussions
- Assist with data analysis, entry, and validation related to employee benefits plans, renewals, and client reporting
- Compile and maintain records, reports, and benefit plan documentation to support client service and compliance efforts
- Support the PCORI project and other regulatory and compliance-related initiatives within the benefits practice
- Research and analyze employee benefits data files for group clients, identifying trends, discrepancies, and opportunities
- Gain exposure to the clients we serve and the industries they operate in, with an emphasis on benefits strategy and cost management
- Learn about benefits carriers and vendors, including plan structures, funding arrangements, and reporting requirements
- Build an understanding of key employee benefits coverages and how they are applied to meet client needs and objectives
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program
- Preferred majors include, Risk Management & Insurance, Acturarial Science, Mathematics, Business Management, or related fields
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Curious, motivated, and eager to learn about the insurance industry and grow professionally
