Job Description

Hill International is seeking a Project Engineer in Washington D.C.

Hill is seeking a Project Engineer for a groundbreaking project in Washington DC to serve as an owner’s representative on the modernization of an unoccupied, historical federal building complex with an expected construction cost of $2 billion. The project is underway and is expected to take at least another 1 year to complete.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect quality of new construction on a daily basis to verify compliance with construction documents.
  • Manage outstanding QA observations and deficiencies. Create and review QA reports.
  • Attend and coordinate with GC to schedule pre-construction and pre-installation meetings.
  • Inspect and sign off on completed items/checklists, close-in inspections, reconcile disputed items.
  • Assist with change order management, issue resolution, project controls, and reporting.
  • Coordinate with on-site Project Managers and Project Directors to ensure client needs are being met.
  • Provide real-time feedback on construction progress vs projected schedules.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management.
  • 3-5 years of experience on large-scale construction projects.
  • General Contractor experience is a plus.
  • Must be available to work full time onsite in Washington, DC.

The salary range for this position is $66,000 - $86,000. The offered salary will be based on the applicants qualifications, education, experience and work location.
