Hilltop Holdings is looking for an Asset Liability Analyst for our Corporate Treasury Department. As an Asset Liability Analyst, you will participate the monthly production of the Asset Liability Management (ALM) and Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) models and steward the loan, deposit, and investment data processes. The Analyst provides analysis of various economic and interest rate scenarios to support the A/L Manager or Sr. Treasury Analyst and reporting to the Asset Liability Committee. This position will also gain exposure to other areas of the Corporate Treasury department including balance sheet management, financial, liquidity, and capital planning, and stress testing.

Responsibilities
- Assist Sr. Analyst and Manager with monthly analysis and reporting of the Company’s interest rate risk position, providing a clear explanation of key drivers for changes in risk profile to meet internal and external regulatory guidance.
- Manage large and complex datasets using tools such as SQL and Visual Studio and collaborate with IT and Accounting to optimize data feeds and processes into Bancware.
- Provide support to balance sheet assumptions such loan run-off and prepayments, deposit decay, interest rate forecasts and betas, and new business production.
- Perform sensitivity and scenario analysis in Bancware to evaluate balance sheet strategies and support reporting and mitigation of interest rate and liquidity risks.
- Report variance analysis and impacts to net interest margin (NIM), economic value (EVE), liquidity, regulatory capital, duration, and convexity metrics.
- Perform peer analysis on various loan and deposit profitability targets to support internal financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Maintain proper model documentation and desktop procedures to support monthly production processes for model validation, internal and external audit, and regulatory requests.
- Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls in accordance with the Company’s risk appetite.
- Participate in long term or special projects.
- Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or other related fields.
- 1-3 years of proven Asset/Liability Management experience at a commercial bank or broker-dealer.
- Advanced computing skills, exposure to database management and experience in Bancware, Empyrean, or QRM.
- Excellent quantitative and data analytic skills with Excel, SQL, and/or Visual Studio experience preferred.
- Attention to detail and strong communication and presentation skills.
