Job Overview :

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Marketing Assistant to join our dynamic team at Hilo Fish Company a leading seafood distribution company.

The Marketing Assistant will support the marketing team in executing strategies to enhance brand visibility, drive sales, and engage our customers.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about marketing and the seafood industry, with strong organizational skills and a creative mindset.

Key Responsibilities :

• Content Creation : Assist in creating and scheduling engaging content for various marketing channels, including social media, newsletters, and the company website.
• Market Research : Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and opportunities for brand positioning within the seafood industry.
• Event Coordination : Support the planning and execution of marketing events, trade shows, and customer appreciation events.
• Social Media Management : Monitor social media platforms, engage with followers, and respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Email Campaigns : Assist in the development and distribution of email marketing campaigns, including managing subscriber lists and tracking campaign performance.
• Sales Support : Provide marketing materials and promotional support to the sales team to help drive customer engagement and sales growth.
• Analytics and Reporting : Track and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns using various analytics tools; suggest improvements based on data insights.
• Administrative Support : Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, managing marketing collateral, and maintaining the marketing database.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Graphic Design / Photography skills
• Knowledge in Adobe Suite programs (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Lightroom, etc.)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with marketing software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Mailchimp, Hootsuite).
• Basic knowledge of SEO, digital marketing, and social media platforms.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Creative thinker with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• A passion for seafood and sustainability is a plus.
