Job Description:

The Hilton Fort Wayne at the Grand Wayne Convention Center, Northeastern Indiana’s premier lodging and banquet facility, is seeking a Front Office Manager to complement its team of service professionals. This position will provide hands on leadership to the daily operation of the front desk and bell staff / transportation departments.

The Front Office Manager manages responsibilities in alignment with senior management, Company policies and procedures, brand standards and government regulations. The person in this position is responsible for meeting quality service goals, while maintaining financial controls.

This position directly manages assigned staff. The person in this position articulates goals to the staff and provides training to attain those goals. He or she demonstrates commitment to these goals through work ethic and integrity.

Job Requirements:

The candidate selected will have a successful track record in similar positions with other hotels. Prior Hilton brand and systems experience preferred, but not required.

A college degree in hospitality management or other business field is preferred, but experience in the industry with progressive incremental responsibilities over time can substitute.

The candidate must possess knowledge of hospitality, business and basic accounting principles and practices. The position requires organizational skills that result in accurate, timely and thorough work. Ability to appropriately interview, hire, schedule, motivate, train, monitor and address staff performance are key attributes sought.

The candidate must possess strong communication skills. He or she must display consistent professional leadership while simultaneously handling competing and changing priorities and projects. The Front Office Manager must be resourceful and possess the ability to improvise while working in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure.
