What Will I be Doing?

The Collector III will be responsible for the handling/collecting of the 60 day’s delinquent accounts and assist with loan work-out programs such as mortgage modifications and DIL’s. This position also assists owners with the general understanding of the terms and conditions related to their ownership and contract(s). The Collector III will also be expected to provide additional leadership support in the department to assist the Supervisors and Leads.

• Perform all collection activity in accordance with company and Federal regulations. Collection activity that facilitates the maintenance of acceptable delinquency percentages as provided by financial management.
• Maintain required levels of phone activity, contact percentages and other key performance indicators provided by financial management.
• Legally, ethically, and confidentially handle any correspondence and/or payments received.
• Maintain systematic and organized support documentation related to the handling of any owner account. Request skip tracing, as necessary.
• Provide effective leadership to the team in support of the Supervisors and Leads.
• Assist with the development of company policies and procedures in conjunction with collection tactics and practices.
• Assist all members of collections staff with daily processes and procedures when required.

To fulfill this role successfully, the individual should possess the following qualifications, knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Must possess excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Word, Access, and Excel
• Flexible Schedule M-Sat from 8am to 11pm

In addition, the following qualifications, knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience are preferred:

• Over 2 years of Collections or Sales experience
• Skip tracing experience
• Timeshare Industry experience
