Kitchen Utility Person

The Utility Kitchen person will maintain and deep cleaning of dish machine, keeping all kitchen floors, storage room areas free of obstruction due to food waste, oil, water and paper products, "trash". Empty trash bins, recycle bins to designated areas in trash compactor room and recycle bins. Complete washing of dirty dishes, silverware, pots.

Schedule Details

Our Food & Beverage operates 7 days per week. Cooks / Kitchen Team Members will work shifts that range between 6:30 am - 10:30 pm.

Additional Responsibilities

• Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy Ability to be a clear thinker, remain calm and resolve problems using good judgment.
• Ability to work well under pressure of meeting production schedules and timelines for guest satisfaction. Ability to maintain good coordination.
• Ability to transfer cases of received goods to the workstations.
• Must be able to lift boxes over 50 lbs. Using proper safety lifting procedure. Ability to work with all products and food ingredients involved.
• Ability to use all senses to ensure quality standards are met. Ability to operate, clean and maintain all kitchen equipment required for job functions.
• Ability to comprehend and follow recipes. Ability to prioritize, organize, delegate work and follow through.
• Ability to perform all other job-related duties assigned by manager/supervisor.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 years’ experience as a Cook in a similar culinary establishment
• Hawaii Food Handler's Card

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

• Previous hotel/hospitality culinary experience
• Completion of a formal culinary training or apprenticeship program
• Proficient in the English language to communicate both verbally and in writing with guests, owners and co-workers, and fully comprehend job assignments
