- Leverage big data using SQL and Excel to glean and communicate high-level insights:
- Model customer lifetime value and develop ROI models and sensitivities for new product and program initiatives.
- Create complex financial models in Excel for profitability calculations and cost-benefit analysis.
- Translate large data insights into fact-based recommendations that allow business partners to make informed decisions, such as quantifying how different features impact customer lifetime value.
- Utilize pivot tables and charting in Excel and prepare well-formulated and professional PowerPoint presentations.
- Provide key stakeholders with a central point of contact to address reporting and analysis needs:
- Front-to-back management of ad-hoc requests for operational and financial reporting.
- Prepare, maintain, and distribute regular operational and financial reporting and analysis packages with meaningful commentary.
- Deliver oral and written presentations to key stakeholders and the organization regarding prepared analytics.
- Conduct financial variance and forecasting analysis to support strategic planning and performance management.
- Assist leadership in project management, status updates, and coordination activities:
- Collaborate across IM&A teams to ensure the progress of critical initiatives.
- Provide regular updates on project progress and milestones to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Support project-based initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.
- Drive strategic innovation and lead the evolution of analytics capabilities:
- Identify and implement new value-adding operational and financial analytics, integrating data science principles into existing deliverables.
- Develop strategies and direction for the evolution of reporting systems to support organizational objectives.
- Participate in data governance to define new metrics, maintain metadata, manage reporting hierarchies, and improve data quality.
- Lead and mentor a team of analysts in the development, enhancement, and maintenance of reporting and analytics solutions.
- Recruit, hire, train, and develop top analytical talent to build a high-performing team.
- Advance analytics integration and cross-functional impact:
- Develop and execute a long-term strategy to embed analytics and data science into core deliverables and decision-making processes.
- Integrate advanced analytics, algorithms, and models into BI tools such as Cognos and Tableau, using R or similar languages.
- Drive new analytics initiatives, create impactful metrics, and connect operational analytics to financial outcomes.
- Conduct ad hoc analysis to address evolving business needs and support cross-functional initiatives.
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Previous experience in a leadership position for a Reporting or Business Intelligence Team
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in positions of analytics, reporting, or finance
- Minimum of 1 year experience in SQL, intermediate
- Advanced Excel skills required, excluding VBA, with proficiency in Pivot Tables, Charting, and financial modeling
- Experience in putting together PowerPoint presentations.
- Experience delivering insights and recommendations based on analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Timeshare industry experience
- Experience in hospitality highly preferred.
- Experience in Power BI, SmartView and IBM Cognos preferred.
- 7-10 years of prior financial analysis experience
