Hiring Rate: $16.50 - $17.00 / hr

Hilton Pearl River, a full-service luxury hotel located 25 minutes from New York City in Rockland County (NY) and bordering Bergen County (NJ), is seeking an organized, energetic, hands-on professional to join our exceptional team as a 2ndshift part time Loss Prevention/Security personnel.

This position is a dual role in Loss Prevention and Security. LPO provides protection for hotel guests, team members, and property. LPO also provides guests with a sense of comfort and well being by maintaining a level of visibility. The LPO should be proactive and focus on identifying and preventing a problem before it occurs. This position is part time requiring work on Friday, Saturday and Sunday 4PM-12AM.

Specific Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability:

• Heavy work - Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
• Must be able to climb stairs, descend stairs, walk and stand for long periods of time. Need to be able to physically deter someone who poses a threat to our guests/employees
• Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
• Must be able to interact with our guests’ and staff on a one to one basis exhibiting control and patience
• Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
• Must work well in stressful, high pressure situations
• Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
• Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
• Must have the ability to assimilate complex information, data, etc. from disparate sources and consider, adjust, or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need
• Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by managers, co-workers and guests

Education:

· High school diploma or equivalent

Experience:

• Desired experience in a hotel or similar business in loss prevention, security, or guard capacity
• Must be a highly organized individual with the ability to handle numerous tasks at a time
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Must be a team player with a positive attitude
• The LPO/Security must be able to work a flexible schedule that will include most holidays and all weekends
• Must be able to work the 2nd shift 4PM-12AM on the weekends - Friday, Saturday and Sunday
